Calgary, Alberta - Software and web design agency, Morweb.org, has gifted Californian advocacy organization The Voices Project with a website redesign. The agency, which specializes in websites for nonprofits and associations, made the announcement on October 29th after selecting the Voices Project as the winner of the ‘Morweb Makeover’ nonprofit website giveaway. The prize covers $10,000 towards a web design, access to Morweb’s content management system (CMS) software, full training on using the software, nonprofit coaching, and six months of Morweb platform fees.

“We started the Morweb Makeover giveaway as a way to give back to nonprofits in the best way we know how."

“We started the Morweb Makeover giveaway as a way to give back to nonprofits in the best way we know how, which is by providing a holistic web solution that involves everything a nonprofit needs to grow a strong online presence,” says Murad Bushnaq, CEO and Founder of Morweb. “With the addiction crisis in America, communities need organizations like the Voices Project to encourage recovery and educate the community about the realities of addiction. Our goal for the website redesign is to equip the Voices Project with the right design and functionality to maximize their outreach, fundraising efforts, and make a meaningful impact on the people they are trying to help.”

This is the third time that Morweb.org has run this giveaway. Previous winners include Berkeley Humane, an animal shelter based out of California and The United Way of the Bay Area. The Voices Project was selected as the third recipient of the ‘Morweb Makeover’ giveaway for its meaningful cause and need for improved web design. The organization started as a grassroots movement with a mission to change the way America thinks about recovery, one voice at a time. In just one year since its founding, support for the organization went viral with thousands of people connecting through the organization’s social media to share their heartfelt stories of addiction. Through community empowerment and advocacy, the Voices Project is helping to break the stigma of addiction and pushing for more accountability from the groups that profit from the sale of addictive substances.

The Voices Project’s new website www.voicesriseup.org is expected to launch in early 2020. The proposed website redesign will have a built-in donation form, event registration and ticketing, blog, newsroom, web accessibility features and provide a great user experience across mobile devices.
