An Interview by accessiBe
Morweb, both an agency and a CMS
Mascha Sachs, VP Brand & Product Marketing at accessiBe:
Hello, Murad. Thank you so much for joining us today and for sharing your insights about Morweb’s journey and your focus on web accessibility. I’m excited to dive into this conversation with you! How would you describe your agency, and what makes Morweb different or unique?
Murad Bushnaq: One of the most distinctive things about Morweb is our journey. We started as a traditional creative agency, working across industries like finance, technology, construction, and energy. But after 13 years, we made a conscious decision to focus exclusively on nonprofits because we found a deeper sense of fulfillment working with organizations and people dedicated to improving their communities, supporting causes, and helping those in need. As we partnered with nonprofits, we saw they often struggled with technology—limited budgets, resources, and technical expertise were common challenges. Existing Content Management Systems (CMS) platforms were too general and didn’t meet nonprofits' unique needs. So we evolved and created Morweb CMS, designed specifically for nonprofits and non-technical users. Our journey from creative agency to SaaS provider is unique, and our continued growth is a testament to the work of our talented team and the loyalty of our clients.
Mascha (accessiBe): Why did you choose to offer web accessibility as part of your service?
Murad Bushnaq: We chose to offer web accessibility because it’s a crucial part of digital inclusion, especially for the nonprofits we serve. Accessible websites ensure that everyone—regardless of their abilities—can engage with the content and support the causes that matter to them. For nonprofits, accessibility is essential to reaching underserved communities and expanding their impact. It’s also about reflecting the values of inclusion, equity, and social responsibility that many of these organizations already hold dear. We believe in the power of digital inclusion to bridge divides and create a more equitable online experience for everyone.
Mascha (accessiBe): What are the benefits of web accessibility for your clients?
Murad Bushnaq: The benefits go far beyond legal compliance. By making their websites accessible, our clients can reach a broader audience, including people with disabilities who may have previously been excluded. An accessible site also improves the overall user experience, making it easier for everyone to navigate. This boosts engagement and helps with SEO—accessible sites are more easily indexed by search engines, which can lead to better rankings and increased visibility. Additionally, by embracing accessibility, our clients are building a positive brand image. They’re showing their commitment to social responsibility, which resonates with their audiences and helps build trust.
Mascha (accessiBe): What are the benefits of web accessibility for Morweb as an agency?
Murad Bushnaq: For Morweb, offering web accessibility is about being a comprehensive solution provider and staying true to our mission of creating inclusive digital spaces. We can offer our clients more value by positioning ourselves as a one-stop solution for nonprofits prioritizing inclusion. We also reinforce our commitment to social responsibility and build trust with our clients, which is important for our reputation.

Mascha (accessiBe): Do you face any challenges convincing your clients that web accessibility is worthwhile?
Murad Bushnaq: Initially, some clients were hesitant because they saw accessibility as an extra cost or a legal obligation. But we took an educational approach, showing them the broader benefits: improved user experience, better SEO, and a wider reach. For nonprofits, accessibility often aligns with their mission of inclusion and equity, so once they understand that it’s an investment in their ability to serve their communities, they see the value. That’s one of the many reasons we love working with nonprofits—they’re already aligned with the bigger picture.
Mascha (accessiBe): Thank you so much for sharing your journey and insights with us today, Murad. It’s inspiring to see how Morweb has grown into a platform that not only empowers nonprofits but also prioritizes accessibility in such a meaningful way.
Murad Bushnaq: Thank you, Mascha! It’s been a pleasure, and we’re excited to keep supporting nonprofits and making the digital world more accessible.
