Five plus years of branding and web design for nonprofits and mission-driven teams — working on illustration, typography, user experience, and the visual decisions that decide whether a page lands or gets ignored.
I'm a senior web and graphic designer based in Calgary. My work covers branding, web design, typography, illustration, and the production side of design. Most of it is for nonprofits and mission-driven teams, but the same principles apply across industries.
I've been at Morweb for over five years. Before that I worked in the agency world. The thing I keep coming back to is that good design is not about decoration — it's about making something complex feel clear and easy to use.
Design is psychology before it is decoration. By the time a layout is on the screen, every choice has already done its work. The job is to make those choices on purpose.

Most teams treat design as the final coat of paint. I think it is the foundation. The colors, the typography, the spacing, and the order of information all change how a page is read. Get those right and the rest of the site has a chance. Get them wrong and even the best content will not land.
I'm passionate about art and digital media. I love taking abstract ideas and turning them into something visual, especially for nonprofits whose stories deserve to land. The right design choice can move people. The wrong one can lose them. That's what the work is — choosing on purpose.
